In Talk Into Notes, you can also use Settings → Send Feedback. The app previews the report before sending. Feedback is optional and defaults to your typed message only, plus app/category/report fields. Email and app/iOS/locale context are included only if you choose to include them.

Recording, transcription, and Apple Notes export are free. Optional Talk Into Notes Pro provides separate additional features. Legacy Lifetime Supporters can restore Pro in the app.

Digests with Pro

Tap Create Digest in Inbox to create a local digest of your recent recordings. Choose the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, review and edit the result, then keep it in Inbox or send it to Apple Notes through your installed Shortcut. Use Restore Purchases if you already own Pro or Lifetime Supporter.

Optional Apple Private Cloud Compute requires iOS 27 or later, an eligible device, region and language, Apple Intelligence and iCloud readiness, internet access and available Apple daily usage. The app shows a confirmation with the selected text before you start cloud processing.

Talk Into Notes is designed to keep your data private.

Audio, transcripts, and notes

Talk Into Notes records audio that you choose to create and transcribes it on your device. Note processing starts on your iPhone. I do not operate a backend server that receives or stores your recordings or transcripts. Audio remains on your device until you delete it or an Apple Notes export is confirmed. Creating or exporting a generated note does not delete its original source recordings.

If you explicitly select Apple Private Cloud Compute and tap Generate with Apple PCC, the app sends only the selected completed transcript text to Apple's private processing service. It does not send audio, unrelated transcripts or persistent source identifiers. The app does not switch to cloud processing automatically. Apple says request data is not retained after processing and is not accessible to Apple or developers. You review and edit the draft before choosing to save it. Transcription model download

If you download a transcription model, the model-hosting service receives standard network request data such as your IP address. Your audio, transcripts, and notes are not sent with that request.

Apple Notes export

If you choose to export content to Apple Notes, that export happens through Apple's system features on your device. Your notes are then handled by Apple Notes and your iCloud / device setup.

Optional feedback

If you choose Send Feedback in the app, the app shows you a preview before anything is sent. Feedback is optional and explicit-send only.

By default, a feedback report includes only the message you type, the app name, the feedback category, and a random per-report ID. It does not include audio, transcripts, note contents, note titles, screenshots, logs, Apple ID, device identifiers, analytics identifiers, or persistent user IDs.

You may optionally enter an email address if you want a reply. You may also optionally include app version, build, iOS version, and locale context before previewing and sending the report. If you type personal information into the feedback message, that typed text is included.

Feedback is sent to a first-party Talk Into Notes feedback server and stored as JSON for support triage. Reports are retained for 30 days by default and are not used for advertising, tracking, analytics, profiling, or cross-app linkage.

Purchases

Apple handles optional Talk Into Notes Pro and Support Development purchases through StoreKit. Pro provides separate additional features; legacy Lifetime Supporters can restore Pro. Support Development tips do not unlock features. These purchases do not create a supporter account, send supporter analytics, or give Talk Into Notes your payment card details.
